Advanced Composites Group (ACG), a world leading formulator and manufacturer of technologically advanced, customised composite materials, provides a range of composite glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP) and carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) prepreg materials, and film and liquid resin products specifically aimed at the cost-efficient production of aerospace structures using vacuum bag, press moulding and both in and out-of-autoclave (OOA) processing techniques.

Many new and innovative products have been introduced as a result of high profile collaborative development projects involving major aircraft manufacturers both across Europe and the USA.

Our extensive product range now includes materials for low pressure/low temperature Out-of-Autoclave (OOA) processing and for infusion of dry fabric pre-forms, as well as for 120°C/180°C [248°F/356°F] autoclave processes.

ACG has been actively working with airworthiness authorities to develop detailed procedures for the provision of an approved "public domain" design-allowable database, the objective of which is to reduce the cost and timescale associated with the certification of components manufactured from new materials.

Full product control and process control specifications, and data reports are available on request.

In addition to fully characterised materials for certified components, ACG continues to support individual customer's needs by offering a wide range of material forms tailored for specific processing or performance requirements.

Products are currently supplied for aircraft prototypes, UAVs and UCAVs, space launchers, space structures and light aircraft, plus radomes, missiles, repair, interiors, flooring and low RCS developments.

The Group is also actively engaged in the design, development and manufacture of composite tooling for aerospace applications. Please refer to our Composite Tooling page, the associated Aerospace Product Selector Guide (PSG) and our Product Data Catalogue for additional information.

Our Aerospace PSG has been designed to facilitate the selection of composite glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP)/carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) resin pre-impregnated (prepreg) materials for aerospace applications. General indications on mechanical performance and processing are also highlighted in the PSG. Full product details can be found in our standard product data sheets, which are in our data catalogue. Specific details are available on request from our comprehensive fibre/resin material database.

Our Aerospace PSG is designed to help prospective users identify the most suitable composite glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP)/ carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) resin pre-impregnated (prepreg) material for a specific application, component type, and proposed processing technique. The PSG contains only the key processing or performance characteristics for our advanced resin systems, with detailed information relating to impregnation into a range of composite glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP) and carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) materials presented in individual product data sheets.

The PSG identifies materials that already have a FAA approved design database, and any composite glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP) and carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) materials currently undergoing a FAA controlled design-allowable test programme.

Please refer to our data catalogue for a complete range of products. Use the Quick Links (above - left) to access the data catalogue and PSG.
