Advanced Composites Group (ACG) is in the enviable position of having amassed over 25 years' experience in the design, formulation, development, manufacture and supply of advanced composite glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP)/carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) resin pre-impregnated (prepreg) materials into the global motorsport industry. In its early days, ACG manufactured components and structures for the Formula One fraternity and across a number of world-class rally sport teams. In fact, ACG is renowned for its design, development and manufacturing capability work on the first monocoque (safety/survival shell), a design which is still used, in part, by present day Formula One teams.

From Formula One to top level Rally Sport teams, ACG has seen its materials and technologies used for the manufacture of safety/survival shells (monocoques), structural components, aerodynamic and aesthetic bodywork panels and wings, dams, skirts and aerofoils, engine components and covers, suspension parts, noses, and side impact structures.

Our Motorsport PSG has been designed to facilitate the selection of composite glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP)/carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) resin pre-impregnated (prepreg) materials for motorsport applications. General indications on mechanical performance and processing are also highlighted in the PSG. Full product details can be found in our standard product data sheets, which are in our data catalogue. Our Motorsport PSG is designed to help prospective users identify the most suitable composite glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP)/carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) resin pre-impregnated (prepreg) material for a specific application, component type, and proposed processing technique. The PSG contains only the key processing or performance characteristics for our advanced resin systems, with detailed information relating to impregnation into a range of composite glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP) and carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) materials presented in individual product data sheets.
